Being the sort of people we are, we enjoy statistics. We track a number of services and servers to see the performance of our services and to fine tune and improve upon them. These are some of those statistics.

Mail Server

The primary mail server at NetMonks Consulting handles a number of e-mail clients. It also provides virus and spam scanning for all incoming and outgoing messages to provide a better experience for our customers. The mail server maintains very detailed logs of message flow and spam/virus detection. The following statistics are updated every hour from the current logs.

Based on the values above, the primary mail server sends or receives approximately one message every 34.61 seconds (104.02 messages per hour). Each messages generally arrives at the destination within 1,627.46 seconds. The average success rate of messages sent is 80.8%. Including failed attempts, it takes on average 1.46 attempts to deliver a message to the recipient.

DNS Query Statistics

The NetMonks DNS server handles a number of domains. This graph displays the total requests per second over the past 24 hours. Keep in mind that since we operate 8 name servers, the requests per second may seem unusually low. The true requests per second count when calculated across all 8 servers is roughly 6-9 times larger.

Overall Server Bandwidth

All values on this graph are in bits per second, except for the estimated monthly bandwidth usage which is in gigabytes.
